(31,464 posts)He was basically the b-movie stereotype of a privileged snot-boy. His daddy was a steel magnate in Michigan, I believe, who left the lad with hundreds of millions of dollars. The kid was/is a terrible person, having once purchased an entire strip mall (not far from where the castle is) including live-in apartments, only to evict all the tenants, revoke the business leases, then just board up the property hoping that one day property values would go up. It never did. He abandoned it.
I honestly don't care how the owner spends his inheritance. The sooner he spends it all, the better off we'll all be. Again, I only posted this because it was interesting, not because I endorse greed or am denouncing spending money or whatever you're saying. It was just an interesting find, and it was relevant to me because I have a place on this same street.
