Credit cards still take out a cut, even if it's 3%. If Al gets a total of $1 million in contributions, that means the credit card companies still take out $30,000, which is money he can put to better use than Citibank.

As for Act Blue, I sometimes use them if I'm in a hurry, but they have this annoying habit of "flagging" my contributions for review when they are made from overseas, which, in my case, is just about always.
