43. But he didn't kill her...

If he killed her, he'd be on trial for murder.

If someone attempts to kill someone but fails, do we still give them the death penalty? No. Of course not. The law works on a system of tiers depending on how bad a crime was and this then defines what the sentence should be. Not all crimes are the same and our laws reflect that.

Should Ray Rice have gone to jail? Absolutely. I never said he shouldn't. But I don't know the laws in Maryland. I know in my state there are actually three different degrees a person can be charged with domestic violence ranging from a misdemeanor (first time offenders get no jail) to a aggravated felony that can go as high as 10 years. What degree a person is charged with depends on prior criminal history and the extent of the injuries....also if a child was witnessing it could elevate it.

The point I was making above is that Vick did more than just abuse animals. He killed them and he was involved in gambling. There were multiple other crimes Vick was committing, therefore you cannot compare his sentence to what Ray Rice got. It is not an equivalence.

Saying that I think animals are worth more than women is freakin ridiculous. And you are putting words in my mouth. Im not even going to reply to such nonsense.
