state position. Biden was a "the kids okay" establishment pick. Ryan was a Midwest Wisconsin youth pick. Nobody has any stinking clue what the Palin pick was.

McDonnell was considered because of Va's purple state status. Wouldn't have helped.

Bernie can do more as Senator than he could ever do as VP. Good pay, way more job security, less hassle.
