(8,200 posts)I welcome your comments. This is what I admire about him. He has never, to my knowledge, wavered from his socialistic economic views and his dedication to the working class. There have been several times that I have seen in which he could have compromised to make his position more attractable to Republicans and right leaning Independents.
I have come to regard the vast majority Democrats to be little more than middle of the road opportunists who only show up at the labor unions to collect a check. Obama is one hell of a lot better than any to days Ayn Rand Republican. But he isn't FDR, that's for damn sure. I love the response that FDR had for the wealthy when he said they viewed him as a traitor to his privileged class and he welcomed their hatred. This is my major criticism in regard to Obama. I have wondered if his bi-racial heritage has a lot to do with his determination not to offend anyone. I hope no one interprets my "wondering" as in any way as being racist. I believe that we all go along to get along to a certain extent. Sanders seems to be a very special cat.
