3. A woman is allowed to go without makeup.

Even Sarah Palin. Please don't tell me a woman always has to wear makeup and, if she doesn't, she'll be publicly shamed and laughed at.

Sarah may or may not be flipping the bird. Hard to tell.

I am no fan of Sarah Palin. But this strikes me as a low blow and too excruciatingly personal for me to find amusing.

This is from someone who struggles every day with self-confidence in my physical appearance. Please don't hold it against a woman if her face isn't wash-and-wear perfect. I'm sure you don't mean it to be, but it's not fair and it's unkind.
