(7,234 posts)36. "It is about a madman loose with a gun." ...Yes
You truly can't see what this is about.
Try me.
It about innocents right now probably scared to death in their homes.
People fire off shots all the time in my neighborhood, I won't go out at night or drive by certain streets because its that bad. When someone fires off rounds, at the most you'll see is the cops driving around slowly with their lights off.
A few years 4 people got shot at a house party right around the corner from where I live but I didnt find out until I turned on the news, mind you the shooter got away and the police were long gone.
OTOH if 4 cops got shot in my neighborhood, there would be spotlights everywhere, armored vehicles, helicopters, checkpoints, you name it.
Why?
So impressed by you big strong posters who would not be scared.
I never said anything about not being scared. I'm absolutely scared to death when I hear shots going off in the distance. There are people all around the country who also live with the same fear.
I've always said the police should give every shooting and murder the same level of attention they give when a cop is shoot or murdered.

OP
Yes, and cops weren't the only ones on his list. His dad said he wanted to commit mass murder.

Eliminate the police, mandate everyone has a gun, or call these guys to take care of it:

Except the murderer is a guy just like one of those. Except he is an expert shot.

I hope so, too. And that he doesn't choose suicide. I think life in prison might help. Maybe.

1 cop gets shot and they issue an EAS alert and lock down an entire town. Unbelievable...

People are shot & wounded all the time in this country, they DO NOT get the same level of attention

"He even looks a little like a reboot of Tim McVeigh." Or Eric Robert Rudolph, the Olympics bomber..
