That has nothing to do with my point at all..

All I've asked is why is a police officers death being given more attention. Why isnt every firearm related death or injury given the same amount of attention and dedication?

If a loved one got shot I would want them to do everything in the world to find the person who did it but they're not, all they're going to do is scoop up the body, write a report, give me a card for a detective and go on to the next call.

Why?
