57. Meh. In my view, the US gov gave itself permission to lie to USians.

That's far worse, I think.

Of course, it's called allowing the US govt to propagandize USians. But, since when does any govt need a special law to inform its citizens truthfully, even to gin up a little patriotism, even a little jingoism? Governments have been doing that since time immemorial.
