I wish I also had a vacuous intent that prevents me from perceiving any one person beyond one statement. It would be so convenient... so damned easy on my brain to pick that one statement, focus on it to the expense of anything else also said, and pretend to myself (and imply to others) that that statement is the raison-d'etre of my unlucky quarry.
I certainly do realize that acting mentally lazy is an ethically convenient tool for the party hack, and would never admonish the splenetic peevishness involved in doing as such.

I blame Obama for putting single payer option in the ACA! VT and soon CA will take advantage of it.
