1. By Russia's standards, no Syrian city's been attacked.

It's occupied territory under a group that claims independence.

The optimal thing for Russia to do, were it consistent, would be to demand that a contact group be formed to discuss the IS's "legitimate interests" and how to establish an autonomous region within Syria.

Instead it complains about bombing insurgents while it shells Schastya. Sad, too, because they worsed the humanitarian crisis by knocking out power to 1.4 million people a couple of days ago; damaged a couple of transformers there, today. Then again, these are Russians, so they have rights the rest of us must forever be denied. We only have obligations. Those nasty transformers were probably Nazi transformers, bent to corrupting the entire power grid with their deviant, fascist frequencies and potentials.
