Unfortunately it didn't make finaincial sense for me. With my 2012 Chevy Malibu (4 cylinder, non hybred 25 MPG CITY -33 HWY) I spend $120 a month on gas for my 25 mile commute and travel 4-5 times a year to LA (a 1000 mile round trip) the payment on the Volt was $800 a month, $450 more than the Malibu. The Volt won't make it to LA where I need to be every couple of months.
