Fortunately, these advances in technology are leading to self-driving cars, something I wholeheartedly support, in order to take the wheel away from drivers like in this ad.

The other problem is that vehicle manufacturers sell a fantasy. A fantasy of the professional driver on the closed course putting the vehicle through its paces. My estimate is that maybe 1/10th of 1% of the vehicle owners out there would ever have the skills to match, much less the courage to attempt any of those maneuvers. I really don't understand the mindset of the manufacturers when they create such asinine ads.
