In reply to the discussion: Chuck Todd Is Doing Worse Than David Gregory As Meet The Press Continues To Nosedive [View all]Major Hogwash
(17,656 posts)Not that I ever watched Leno's show on a regular basis anyway, but after he had Rush Limbaugh on his very first show after he came back, it only solidified my suspicion that Leno is a conservative Republican at heart.
I don't care for Republicans on tv, pretending to be "fair and balanced".
Billo the Klown does that act on Faux Snooze already, and his show was only good for a few laughs for just the first few years.
Many years ago Keith Olbermann pointed out repeatedly what an assklown Billo was, and yet, there he is, still on tv, pretending just like he always used to . . . that he is somehow important in today's society.
Chuck Toad has bent over backwards to appease the Republicans by having more of them on his program than Democrats.
The same formula that David Gregory used.
Yet, the President is a Democrat.
Doesn't take a genius to figure out what NBC is all about.
What I'd like to see on November 9th is McCain going on Meet the Press, right after the mid-term elections are over, and have him on that program for a 30-minute exclusive conversation with Chuck Toad.
Just so he could explain in detail -- while they delve into excruciating detail of the final voting results of several districts in several states, using many different maps, charts, and diagrams -- to explain exactly why the Republicans lost so many seats in the House of Representatives at the polls on the previous Tuesday that they will no longer control the next session of Congress.
And have McCain also explain exactly why the Republican party failed to become the majority party in the Senate.
That's what I'd like to see.
Chuck Toad is going to kill the franchise, the same way Leno killed The Tonight Show.
