The very first thing Romney does when he buys a company is decides how many jobs to eliminate. He then walks in the door and fires everyone working there. Next, he requires them all to reapply for jobs, and hires back a subset of the people who were once employed. This is supposedly more humane than the old-fashioned corporate decimation, but I can't see it.
And let's get to the real question: Was Romney's business good for business? Examine RJR Nabisco, which Romney did not buy, to find your answer: that company has been scattered to the four winds.
