75. Cool story!

It is a nice feeling when you're able to reach someone, even with such odds stacked against

I was in high school in the late 70s and from my perspective, we seemed fairly "progressive" back then, even without sex education. I have no idea what the Texas SBOE was doing back then, but would guess they weren't nearly as bad as they are right now. I do hope we're able to turn the state blue again in the coming decade. Maybe then we might see some 20th century enlightenment in education

If only Karl Rove had never existed, then we might have seen Ann Richards die in office (you know she'd have been re-elected as many times as possible! )
