"Grandma, if you were Secretary of State right now, would you advise the president to send ground troops to the Middle East to combat ISIS?" how do you think that would go over?

I'd say like the proverbial turd in the punchbowl. Fortunately most political reporters are too smart to do something that disrespectful, no matter how thrilled everyone knows she must be to have a grandchild. No male candidate would ever be called "Grandpa" in a political setting.
