(60,994 posts)35. I have three children - and I agree she is likely delighted to be a grandmother and have the baby
call her that when she speaks. However, in the example given - no, she would not want the reporter to call her that. (First of all she is Not that reporter's grandmother.
It is also not sexist. Vanessa Kerry's little son was there when Kerry was sworn in and at the end of his confirmation hearing. It is clear that Secretary Kerry adores the baby as much as he obviously loves his daughters -- just as Hillary loves Chelsea. Though many Senators commented on the little cutie, none of them called their former Chair - grandpa, nor did the reporters.
