Granted, I want to see single payer as badly as I think you do. However, I'm well aware of how politics works and that unfortunately we often have to settle for a small slice of the pie instead of the entire pie. I was (and still am) furious with Joe Lieberman and a few others who blocked medicare for all, but at least SOME progress was made. For instance, I just had a yearly checkup which cost me nothing and I'm taking my kids to get flu shots this weekend which will again cost nothing. There's actually a lot of good that came with the affordable care act.
