(357 posts)90. Rest In Peace Daisy. Our first Chihuahua, ToTo was a rescue. He
came to us at age 3 1/2 and lived to 16 1/2. He developed cancer in his snout and there wasn't anything we could do for him so the dreadful decision was made. I held him in my arms on his back and kissed his little nose while our eyes were fixed on each others. I whispered how much I loved him and hoped he would somehow come back to us. At his last breath I felt his body go limp and the vet allowed my wife and I some time alone with him at which time we wrapped him in his favorite blanket. When the assistant came back with a small box she was crying. The vet knew Toto for around 8 yrs. We brought him home and buried him in his fav spot in the back yard.
Losing a furbaby is traumatic and I sympathize with you and your families loss.
