23. We've always found WV to be more accepting

We lived in western Virginia for several years and there are places there that are downright scary. Very xenophobic. In one small town the local KKK, in the middle of the night, left a letter on our doorstep within a week of us being there. Beautiful country but I would never want to live there again.
