Candidates in blue or bluish states will embrace President Obama because the voters in their state already support the President, so it's helpful to them to do the same.
Candidates in red or reddish states don't embrace President Obama because the voters in their state don't care for the President, so it won't help them to embrace him.
If you're thinking that Democratic candidates in red states should embrace the President in order to help their own, chances, I think you're very wrong. .
