MTP is serious journalism - at least it is supposed to be. If you are going to give the Sunday News shows to Republicans, why not have Racheal Maddow anchor the program? Other than the fact that every Republican guest will opt out of what has been a weekly fellatio session. Hell, I'd tune in to hear Racheal say, "this is week X of Republicans refusing to show up on my show." Then bring in guests that would love the exposure. It would be a huge win for NBC ratings. Give Racheal Friday nights off and I bet she will be she will jump on the opportunity. She will own the timeslot within 3 months.

Agreed. He would have been good, but it's not what he wants to be doing. Comedy is his thing.
