(10,044 posts)long before Un came into power. If people escaped, which they seldom did, they knew that their relatives left behind were killed for revenge. Pigs don't murder. People do.
Even Christians who espouse love for one another went thru murdering stages till some of them wised up, and other religions too, until laws were changed. Think what was done in the days of slavery, suspected witchcraft, land-grabbing, etc. The US wasn't always so peaceful, and looking at Ferguson and St. Louis, it isn't now either. We have more people in prisons than any other country in the world. (Don't ask how I know, I just heard it somewhere.)
N. Korea needs new laws to protect her people instead of her government.....light will come, when I don't know...
Other Asian countries who had similar cultures have changed (not a lot) and we are friends with most of them..
