16. We got him at 6 weeks.

He's a Golden, and when he was 6 mos. old in Dec. the neighbors up the hill shot off a HUGE fireworks display, we had no clue they were going to do that, and were on the back deck with the pup. Scared the bejesus out of him, and imprinted fear of thunder, bangs, etc.

He is 9 now, large dog, so his human age is 61, according a dog age site I visited.
With any luck we have 3-5 more years to be with him.

Living with an aged dog can be hard, cause we know what is going to happen and they don't.
