1 dispatcher fired, another resigns after mishandling of triple-homicide 911 call [View all]
Deborah Watson spent the final moments of her life begging for help as she watched her two friends be shot to death and described the terrifying scene to a 911 dispatcher.
"My friend just got shot," Watson told the since-fired Orange County dispatcher Tamela Moses about 9:40 p.m. on March 17 before giving her the address of the incident. "We're homeless, it's a camp. It's a barn actually. Please hurry up."
Although the 911 call was not released, deputies say the sound of a deadly gun shots could be heard on the recording as Watson, Richard Button and Todd Lemme were each shot in the head by Watson's abusive ex-boyfriend Leonard Lewis.
Minutes after the shooting a separate 911 caller told dispatcher Porscha Williams that she could hear deputies searching for someone behind her home and she suggested deputies check the barn for the victims.
