(57,349 posts)46. There are good superzoom cameras with macro capability like the Panasonic Lumix FZ models.
I've had several, their Leica lenses are more than up to the task for almost every kind of photography, including close ups of brown recluses (which only have six eyes) and jumping spiders who have cute faces and wonderfully expressive body language.
I wish I could upload some of my more recent photographs, two months ago I found a monster fishing spider in my kayak, I can count every hair on his body in my pix.
Shower spider is a good roommate, I had to overcome my initial reaction of OMG WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING IN MY BATHTUB to house centipedes.

If you ever find a macro lens and camera for fairly cheap that works for that,
