In reply to the discussion: Mitt Romney files for extension on 2011 taxes [View all]karynnj
(60,882 posts)40. I expect that it will - and it will show nothing that we don't already no - this is a trap
Why a trap? Imagine that Democrats make an issue that he has not yet filed. Then he files - and the story is there was nothing to what the mean Democrats said. Shades of the Palin emails - she knew what was there and was smart enough not to use her official email for anything obviously wrong.
It is actually interesting how they use the same tricks. The "Ann didn't work" is this year's equivalent to "Laura not working" - a reasonable difference to cite between her and Teresa, as Teresa pointed out that much of her identity came from what she did running a large foundation - while Laura worked until she was 27. This is a cultures war theme. Here, we are in better shape as Rosen's connection to Obama is on the level of Limbaugh's to Romney.

But Mitt's a regular guy. I'll bet he just doesn't have the time to stand in line

WTF is this? With his money, he could hire all of H&R Block to do his taxes.

There's alot of legitimate reasons to file for extensions... I've filed them in the past.
