I switch stations when commercials come on when I am in the car, I put the glossy mailings right in the recycle bin. Emails are easily deleted.
The age of the Internet is here, it is literally in everyone's pocket. Spend some time, doesn't take much, and learn about the people and the issues on the ballot. If a story is in the news, check it out thoroughly, news sources can be biased and yes, less than truthful.

It's easy and as an American citizen, it is crucial.
