(11,200 posts)to actually do due diligence in their investigation. Had the bothered to go to the site of the alleged harassment incident and reviewed the video tapes they would have immediately known that the guy was not even there so no violation of the VPO had occurred. That should have triggered them to step back and think before they acted. Instead, the fell upon this guy like a pack of rabid dogs and he is lucky that they did not kill him. Since they injured him sufficiently to trigger a heart attack and kidney failure there is no doubt that excessive force was used. I am tired of PDs providing coverage for people who have no business being cops. We live in what is supposed to be a civilized country in the 21st Century, not the middle ages. Too many cops have become a direct threat to the citizens of this country and the remainder of them (and their leadership) refuse to grow a pair and do what it takes to protect and serve the citizens, even when it means arresting their own and get them off of the streets.
