(110,254 posts)27. Fevers often spike when the fever reducer wears off. For all any of us knows
Duncan had taken Tylenol for his symptoms earlier in the day and it wore off while he was in the hospital.
Same thing with Dr. Spencer. When he was feeling sluggish, he might have self-treated till that didn't work any longer. We just don't know -- but that's what most people do. And doctors are human.

According to that report. NYT reports he started feeling "sluggish" as early as Tuesday.
