It is irrelevant whether you are offended or whether I am offended .... there are a significant amount of folk that are. Part of civil discourse is NOT to use words or terms that many find disrespectful, offensive or inflammatory.
I have yet to hear anyone support censorship; i have heard folk insist that when in their space (DU for example) one follow the established "rules" of civility (which is a far cry from censorship)
