and get real nervous. Just because "At this time my friend was still doing some weird motions and finally answered the deputies question if he was okay. I had mentioned that were in the middle of the street and he came to and stepped on the gas and drove onto the corner."
HINT: If you are talking with a police officer and your friend is acting odd and suddenly starts to drive off it will, to put it in hunting terms, put the officer on point. He will act accordingly until he figures out what is happening and the officer will put you and your friend in the safest position, on the ground and handcuffed. Especially if he is alone at the time.
Believe it or not the officer is not a mind reader.
