How do you deal with right wing friends who post stupid shit on facebook

53. I have one I can have intelligent discussions with...

Sometimes I'll engage him, and we'll argue a bit. Other times I just roll my eyes and shake my head at what he posts.

But another friend enjoyed playing the troll game, just because he likes winding up liberals, and when I called him on his b/s he ended up defriending me (this has led to some rather amusing situations with mutual friends).

That friend's brother was another close friend, although we'd drifted apart over the past 10 years. Had been a pacifist pothead hippie type on the Green side of the Left Wing. He'd recently got on FB and reached out to me and several other mutual friends.
He then proceeded to start chastising a female friend about how all women need to carry guns and "fight like a cornered cat" when men attempt to rape them, told a gay friend that there was no reason he should have to celebrate "Dead ***'s Day" then started talking about how great the John Birch Society was.
At that point I blocked him and defriended. Found out later he had engaged w/ a couple other gay friends and a Jewish friend over all sorts of conspiracy homophobic b/s and then mysteriously disappeared from FB.

The only explantion I have for his change was him giving up weed.
