Now that this country is down to 25 newspaper and struggling, and then we have a foreign national by name of Rupert Murdoch controlling who knows what and spewing his deceit and deception to the world wide masses, there might be 8 total oligarchy corporations running one television station or another, and then to top it all off we have 10 minutes of commercials selling us everything from a plane ride to having sex during the news every 30 minutes, say a lot about this materialistic country.
My impression of todays news is a commercial that is weighted for greed, no news, just greed, sell the plane ride and hope some one can get there sex thru a pill, because to be really important in news, the oligarchy has broken it down into 20 minutes of sound bites on nothingness, and this democracy is really about the plane ride and the sex drug at dinner time.
Since we really own the air waves and the rights to the radio channels we should go down to Washington, file a class action suit and take back our public forum, this is the only way to have republic.
Those of us that vote can legally whine about the current events in this country and those of you that don't vote sit on the side whine and continue your whining because this election is about the environment, education, campaign finance laws, voting, ect..... and the U.S. Supreme Court and if the right wing republicans get this power we are totally screwed and they will start dismantling our entitlements to Wall Street and you have nothing to say except listen to your favorite corporate commercial.
So if you like commercials, and, all you think about is your team playing in the Super Bowl, College Bowl,a Championship, because if that is your goal to see what the 10 million dollar corporate commercial is all about or the 30 second commercials are going to be like and your team, think of what that money could have done for the country and your costs, it is only a game and some parts of the media has made your life into a game of the haves and the have not commercials, your being will go on after the game and your vote or lack of voting will determine the failure or success of the democracy
