(5,756 posts)Most folks don't want the Keystone XL pipeline. It will only provide a bump in jobs during construction. After it's complete there will be fewer than 20 permanent jobs. So no, not jobs there. But, spills in the future that will contaminate neighborhoods, and water supplies.
Most folks are getting pretty sick of Netanyahu and his expanding settlements into territory in violation of international law and UN resolutions. Not to mention the asymmetrical war on the Palestinians.
Most folks don't want boots on the ground for ISIS. We're sick of wars fought for corporations and oil. ISIS poses no threat at all to the US.
Most folks understand that we are a country of immigrants.
(Remember: Give me your tired, your poor,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door. )
So when the right gets all up on its high-horse about immigrants it seems to forget that those pasty white old men complaining about undocumented immigrants are all descendants of illegal immigrants. None of them are Native Americans.
