(29,808 posts)I always kept it to myself but felt that using the phrase "war on women" as part of a campaign could be counterproductive but the Republicans discussion on rape were far worse, discussing the probability of becoming from rape with false information, requiring a separate insurance accurately and perfectly described as "rape insurance", "legitimate rape", god intended for the pregnancy from the rape to occur, "some girls rape easy", etc. I don't know how that didn't just kill the party, they went beyond the third rail and stepped in it over and over again and we worry about running people too liberal.
Defunding plan parenthood, opposing abortions in cases of rape which is where all this baffling nonsense came from, oppose the equal pay act, oppose a better system for sexual assault victims in the military, oppose safety nets that would help single mothers. Their platform clearly opposes policies that benefit women.
