45. You touched on something I have been griping about for years....

... The impending Wall Street meltdown in 2008 - you know --- the one we bailed out!!! THAT was where the lessons should have been learned. As painful as it would have been to allow those assholes to go under and take much of our economy with it, we WOULD have learned from it. We learned from the Great Depression - but then we forgot the lesson.

There have been no dramatic lessons about the consequences of Republican rule in the last 30 years or so. All of their actions have "gradually" eroded the education system, the safety net and everything else the democrats worked so hard to accomplish in the forty years following the Depression. Accordingly, no one has noticed it. They know life kinda sucks right now, but they can't quite figure out how it got that way.

(SIGH!!). Sorry. Just felt like voicing my gripe again.
