(1,718 posts)The Rude Pundit didn't vote against Landrieu, his Brother In Law did, BUT what was interesting was that his B-i-L agreed with Landrieu on most issues, but said he "felt dirty" thinking about voting for her.
The RP's post was an excellent discourse on how people love liberal policies/positions, but hate liberals. Something worth thinking about. The RP noticed (as I hope everyone else does) that liberal policies won on ballot initiatives overwhelmingly, and across the board--in red and blue states. Yet, in a state that voted 60%+ for, say raising the minimum wage, they simultaneously voted 60%+ for republicans who will likely work to cut the minimum wage.
It's a disgusting disconnect. So many people are so afraid (ashamed?) of voting for a liberal or Democrat, that they'll gladly vote on one hand for liberal policies, while with the other hand voting for a rep. who will do the exact opposite.
