good point

I work my precinct, sit on the board of our local Dem club, participate in street fairs and all club activities ...

Rarely have contact with the county organization. Frankly they so disappointed me on several issues that I have deliberately stayed away. Our club president does go to county events and we have a connection person who goes to other things at the county and state level. I will think on what you have said. I cannot cope with meetings but I may start a letter writing campaign.
