(12,740 posts)3. I would like to honor those of my family who have gone on.
Both grandfathers served in the U.S. Marines in WW I, one served in the U.S. Navy in WW II and my Dad served in the U.S. Army in WW II landing on the beach at Normandy and meeting up with the Russians with Patton. He also served in the U.S. Army in Special Forces during the Vietnam era.
Regardless of what anyone says these 3 men that came before me are definitely heroes.
