Alas, I was sadly mistaken, probably due to my fondness for looking backward, rather than forward into the brave, new world that awaits.

I honestly think 8 years of Bush wore out the anti-war movement, aside from scattered protests of our drone policies and airstrikes inside Iraq and Syria. The sense that Obama was winding down the two land wars, combined with an atavistic belief that 'our side never can commit war crimes,' explains the demobilization to a large extent.

Once you get past all the sectarian "People's Front of Judea\Judean People's Front" stuff, the explanations each article offers complement one another and make a lot of sense.
