I met my husband five years ago on Halloween. He was dressed as his hobby - harley guy. 
Told me he was an artist. I was cool with that. Told me he did some commercial work. I was cool with that. Told me he learned HVAC while an Italian Marine - totally cool with that. My father and I had recently had a come to jesus talk about how I was doing the wrong thing and picking the wrong people - that I needed to find somone who swung a hammer, pushed a plow, made his living on stage or with a paint brush. All was cool. We dated for 6 weeks before I found out he had his own company! 
He also had an HVAC company. My point - I was crazy about him when I thought he was a starving artist that lived paycheck to paycheck know why? He was cool. And I was cool with that. He was nice - and I was very cool with that. That tells me any guy can find someone with or without money. So I'm with ya - no sympathy for someone who is upset that he doesn't have money to procure a woman. Nice guys really DO finish first. And that's that.
