There is so much opposition and it was so badly handled that the current project manager is quitting and they say the expected 2018 startup is no more. The natives have permanent blockade camps set up on their lands and they aren't letting anyone through. Broke people like me send them money to help support them when we can and if it comes time to physically be on the line there are thousands of us who have promised to be there. I believe Gateway is dead, and I hope the same for Keystone.
We are also fighting is a Kinder Morgan tarsands pipeline ending in Vancouver, this one is trickier because they already have an old one in place.
