Southern Baptists' Richard Land apologizes after plagiarism charges [View all]

(I think this pretty well speaks for itself)

Richard Land has never been afraid to speak his mind.

But when the president of the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission recently used his radio show to accuse African-American leaders of exploiting the Trayvon Martin shooting for political gain, Land wasn’t using his own words.

Instead, most were lifted without attribution from a Washington Times article by conservative columnist Jeff Kuhner.

Land apologized Monday after facing allegations of plagiarism from a Baptist blogger.

“I was sloppy,” said Land. “I apologize. And we’re going to move on.”
