(24,411 posts)For many years, Whole Foods openly and aggressively opposed Monsanto's GMO crops and the
food that contained them. As part of some revolting deal--Whole Foods agreed to stop speaking
out and opposing Monsanto and GMO foods.
In exchange for buttoning their lip, Whole Foods asked that Monsanto pay organic farmers for damaged
incurred as a result of GMOs taining their crops and other damages that ensue.

I apologize for the miscommunication. I said that Whole Foods "sold out" to Monsanto, and in effect--they
surely did cave. However, Whole Foods didn't sell their company to Monsanto. They just struck a really
awful deal with the devil--probably under the weight of several Monsanto boots on someone's neck.
