27. People like me would buy a car around Christmas.

Not giving you a hard time just telling you why I would and am going to. One, it is a big purchase. I don't know why it can't be done with careful financial thought and as a family just because it is Christmas. We have know what type of vehicle we have wanted to purchase for two years. It would not be uncommon for a husband or wife to be fully aware that the other one wants the Lexus ??? with the ???? package. The discussion has been had. If I am about to put down a couple grand why can't that be our Christmas gift to ourselves. Neither one of us want to put down a couple grand and them buy each other gifts on top of that. It wouldn't make financial sense considering we are not wealthy in any way when compared relatively to the US population. Second, you really can find great deals this time of the year. A lot of people truly aren't aware that the deals do get better during specific periods. If I can knock a couple thousand extra off a loan because I am willing to spend December 23rd at a dealership, why not. Many of the cars you see in these commercials with the bows on the hood are under $50 grand. They are not all $100 grand cars. Many people such as myself will make this move around Christmas because we know we can save thousands over other times of the year. I worked at a dealership for almost ten years. Timing does make a big difference.
