(8,303 posts)23. Deportation is one thing - although scale may be an issue.
But some of the other stuff is quite different. This is relatively sweeping.
The deportation stuff being talked about is a diversion. The President here seems to be making up his own immigration policy, which no law authorizes him to do and which in fact conflicts with laws on the books. Making them legal workers is probably beyond his powers.
The funny thing is that the GOP power brokers are really in favor, but the voters are not.
