2. I love CraigsList...

... and as a free service the vast majority of its users I completely disagree with the premise of the article that CL has any responsiblity to deal with recalls, etc.

It would be next to impossible to do for starters given the free form format of the content.

I am happy to do my own research and avoid buying something I don't want.

All sorts of businesses, especially newspapers, HATE CL because they provide a service the the newspapers used to charge an arm and a leg for. I used to pay $50 for a simple 2-line classified, no more.

I've done tons of business on CL both buying and selling and I've had an almost universally good experience.
