And the picture itself creates an ironic image, in which you have unarmed gang members in LA protecting a business. Especially, as juxtaposed against the armed thugs wearing FPD uniforms in Missouri. It's also an opportunity to notice their origins, the Crips and Bloods, as organizations that grew out of the conditions of poverty and racial injustice in the black community.

But if you don't wan't to recognize any of that, so be it.

It's also interesting to not that the protests in Ferguson are also in response to racial injustice and the unwillingness of the FPD to properly do their jobs in THAT particular community.
